Our mission is to provide executive operations and risk consulting services to help our clients protect and improve their capabilities to deliver value to their clients.
Mark has more than 30 years of experience in helping protect and improve organizations. He has hands-on executive experience including operations, re-engineering, risk management, strategic planning, continuous process improvement, and business information systems.
Mark retired as Lt. Colonel in the U.S. Army. He has successfully led numerous organizations in the U.S. military to include both Infantry and Armor battalions and is Airborne and Ranger qualified. He earned a Masters in Environmental Sciences (MEn) from Miami University
Mark has served in multiple operational executive roles to include:
Dr. Peggy Slavik has been an educator for almost 30 years. She served on the faculty of Miami University, Ohio for 5 years and joined the mathematics faculty at Baldwin Wallace University (BWU) in 2000. She served as a Professor and Core Math Coordinator in the Mathematics and Currently, she serves as an Associate Statistics Department. Dr. Slavik received a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education, from Kent State University and a M.Ed. in Secondary Mathematics Education, from Miami University. Her academic area of interest revolves around attitudes toward mathematics, technology in the mathematics, quantitative reasoning, and statistics education.
Our approach is to fit within the client’s playbook or existing processes. We want to rapidly drive value to our clients and leave them with actionable and sustainable products that improve their capabilities.

Ensuring Legacy’s Leader Risk Decision-Making (LRDM) training program provides managers, supervisors, and leads with a methodology to identify, evaluate, and manage the risks that could negatively impact their organizations (e.g. worksites, projects, operations, production lines).
We help you identify and manage risk to ensure the long-term success of your business. Our team can develop risk management strategies tailored to the unique needs of your business and provide ongoing risk management support.
Results of LRDM Training:
We facilitate and help review lessons learned for incidents, projects, and major events
(Prepare → Run → Document).
We use the event reconstruction approach where individuals present their own roles and perceptions of the event (Based on the U.S. Army's After-Action Review and Six Sigma/Lean models). There are incidents that may require additional investigative work.
